MARYLAND GOVERNOR BANS GARNISHMENT OF CARES ACT MONEY
On April 29, 2020 Governor Larry Hogan signed an Executive Order, effective immediately, prohibiting garnishment of CARES Act money. It states that CARES Act Recover Rebates “shall not be subject to Garnishment.” The only exception is for child support.
